may favourites

Is it not scaring anybody else how fast this year is going? I've never known a year to go so quick. So here I am today to tell you what I have been loving all of May...

Primark Heart Pizza Tee (Similar Here) - Primark are killing it this Summer especially with these t-shirts. I picked up this gem for £5 (I think it was) which has a heart with the word "pizza" inside it. I bloomin' love pizza so this tee was perfect for me. I also picked up a taco one which is currently my most worn t-shirt. If you're ever in Primark, I suggest you pick up a few of these before they disappear.

Revlon Dramatic Definition Mascara - A mascara I have added in my make-up routine is this mascara from Revlon that I got in one of my recent Glossy Boxes. This mascara is great for length, you also get zero clumps which is a bonus for me as I have had mascara's in the past that have done that to me. I will probably repurchase this!

Essie Nail Polish In "Sunshine State Of Mind" - Onto a nail polish that I did include in recent post about my recent buys is this one from Essie. I haven't stopped coating this on my nails, it is my Summer nail colour. I would recommend you pick this one up if you're ever in Boots.

Lush Eau Roma Toner Water - I was looking in my 'beauty drawer' one day and I came across my bottle of the Eau Roma Toner Water from Lush, so I started using it again and now I am in love with it again. This has made my skin happier again and luckily It was still a full bottle so I still have a lot more use out of it.

MAC Matte Lipstick In "Please Me" - I made a little MAC purchase and one of them included this matte lipstick in 'please me' which is a rosy tinted pink colour. For those looking for a great everyday pink that's not too bright and attention-seeking but still vibrant and face-brightening, please me is a winner.

a summer asos wishlist

I am getting so so excited for Summer. I don't even have a holiday planned until October, but I can't help myself by looking on ASOS constantly at all the pretty items. But it doesn't stop me buying some of these dreamy pieces of clothing and accessories.
For example this dress is just so pretty! I love ruffles and the vintage floral print is my favourite. Here's a round up of my current picks for Summer!

my favourite recent buys

I did quite a bit of shopping a couple of days ago and picked up some lovely bits, but here are my favourite ones! Starting with Primark and they have a great collection of tops for this Summer. I splurged so much but one of my favourite items that I did pick up is this lovely high neck vest top that was £3 - £5. This kind of tops come in handy when you just want to wear a casual look. Also the words 'think happy thoughts' just instantly made me think of Peter Pan! I did get in a couple of sizes up because it is very cropped, so if you don't feel comfortable showing off a bit of your bod then definitely go up a size. Although, why would you, all body types are amazing!
Onto Forever 21 where I hadn't shopped for so long but as soon as I saw the shop windows, I was driven inside. Made my way to the accessories where there are always lovely bits and pieces. I did treat myself to two bralettes which you can see here and here. One of the things I randomly picked up was a rose gold eyelash curler which isn't sadly online. But I love rose gold things so I just had to get these, they were just only £2! Near the make-up section I picked up a cute make-up bag with the words 'i like pretty things' which is very true.
I visited my favourite shop called Tiger which is just amazing for home decor and bits + pieces. I picked up these cute ear plugs which have cute little ice cream cones. They were £3 and they work perfectly. I tend to not take out my rose gold happy plugs so these were perfect to have in my handbag for train trips.
Lastly I had my usual trip to boots but only to pick up a new nail polish by Essie in the colour 'sunshine state of mind', a beautiful red-orange colour perfect for the Summer. I have worn it too much already and have got so many compliments at work.

nyx lips haul

Firstly I have to apologise for my disappearance on my blog. But I am back today with a NYX Cosmetics lips haul. I was hunting down a NYX counter in Boots for what seemed to be a long time until the other day when I visited the shopping centre and finally came across the make-up counter! All the pretty lip colours just made it hard for me to decide which ones to go for, but these are the ones I chose.

From Left To Right
I'm trying to make the transition into wearing matte lip products so I thought the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream would be a good place to start. I bought the colour 'Tokyo' which is a beautiful, vibrant, pastel pink. From this collection I also got the colour 'Prague'. This is a purple toned pink shade that suits many skin tones. It is neither too dark nor too bright, but somewhere in between. Lastly another matte called 'Madrid' which feels like a dupe for Russian Red by MAC. I love how it looks on me.

Onto the Butter Gloss and I absolutely love these two shades in 'Vanilla Cream Pie' and 'Eclair'. Let's talk about Vanilla Cream Pie, it is a light-medium pink with neutral understones. Which is really nice because most pinks I've come across are either too cool for me which makes my skin look sallow and washed out. Or can be too warm like coral instead of pink. But I have been carrying this one around in my bag as it feels like a lip balm but still gives your lips a lovely colour. Eclair has more of a lilac and pink undertones to it but also has that noticeable milky finish that I love. It's perfect for the Spring/Summer weather!

my favourite soap and glory products

Soap And Glory is definitely one of my most loved drugstore brands of all time and I always find myself browsing their stand in Boots when I probably should restrain myself from spending any more money. I thought I would share with you my top 4 products from Soap And Glory and encourage you to go crazy and buy them all too so I feel better about my spending.

Peaches And Clean - Deep Cleansing Milk - A few months ago whilst shopping around re-stocking on my skincare, I found this 'Deep Cleansing Milk' and purchased right away as it was selling for £6 for a huge 350ml cleanser - bargain. You place a few pumps of this onto a cotton pad and in circular motions remove your make-up. It removes my make-up equally and doesn't need any extra tugging at the skin. It hasn't irritated my skin at all or caused any break outs. My skin feels so smooth and hydrated after using this, I've even gone over my skin with Bioderma and a cotton pad to see if there was any traces of make-up left and there was zilch!

No Clogs Allowed Self-Heating Deep Pore Mask - You put on this white paste that actually turns blue - a light blue don't expect a dark blue. It is actually amazing. In the sometime that it heats it self up well. It pulls out all the impurities and works on the blemishes. I've started using it just once a month to detox my skin.

Super Cat Eyeliner Pen - My favourite make-up look requires a eyeliner pen in my opinion. Supercat has a super fine tip, which makes it easy to draw on a straight line on your lid. What I like about finer nibs is that I get either a natural fine line, or a thicker for a more dramatic look. Which is normally what happens as I don't have the artist skills for drawing fine lines. For only £6 I highly doubt you'll find one as good, and this eyeliner has firmly made a place in my make-up bag.

Kiss Ass Concealer - This two in-one concealer and setting powder duo helps to achieve the perfect flawless complexion and the results are mind-blowing. You get one concealer for the under eye area, one to put on those not so perfect areas of your face and finally a powder to set everything into place. The translucent powder is a lovely touch as well as it helps brighten up the under eye area beautifully. It helps the concealer stay on longer and minimizes the appearance of pores too.

Have you gave any of these products a try?

a spring homeware wishlist

a spring homeware wishlist
Ever since I have started re-vamping my bedroom I have started looking for new small accessories to add, especially on my new bookcase that I got most recently. I think these pieces would go nicely.

Gold Alphabet Letter - I have been seeing things like this floating around all over Pinterest and Instagram and I have been looking for one forever. Finally I came across one on Oliver Bonas! This would look super nice standing on top of my bookcase.

Acrylic Pot - I'm currently using a very old pot to hold all my make-up brushes in, but they aren't all fitting in it perfectly. Then I saw this one from Muji and it has 3 partitions for all my brushes!

Arclyic Drawers - I already have one of Muji's storage drawers but I would love another one just for my blushes, bronzers and highlighters. This also comes with a flop top lid which would be useful to get out what I need.

Roberts Mini DAB FM Radio - The current DAB radio that I own is breaking on me everyday! When I stayed in Brighton, our hotel room had one of these beauties and I was hooked on how good it was. They come in different colours, but I really like the nude.

Chevron Throw - I currently already have a throw on my bed from Primark and I do love it but I cannot get enough of Oliver Bonas' throws and cushions. This one is one of my favourites and I just need it.

Glass Trinket Dish - Copper lovin' this dish from Urban Outfitters. I can imagine adding my special pieces of jewellery to this and make it look that extra bit pretty.

LED Mini Cloud - I found this little cutie on WantFeed and I just need him.

Big Spoon, Little Spoon Pillows - Sean seems to spend a lot of time at my house when he is back at home and now I think it is time that I get us these pillow cases. I think every couple probably has these added to their bedroom.
